LokalBot is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3. Your rights to copy, run, study, modify, and distribute the software come from that license. If these website terms conflict with the GPLv3 for those activities, the GPLv3 controls.
Your recordings and lawful use
You control when LokalBot records. You are responsible for using it lawfully, obtaining any notice or consent required from other people, and following workplace, contractual, platform, and local rules. Do not use LokalBot to access, record, or disclose information you are not entitled to handle.
Local and optional external processing
The built-in workflow runs on your Mac after model downloads. You may configure optional third-party or self-hosted inference services. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and charges, and are not operated by the LokalBot project. See the Privacy Policy for the normal network boundaries.
Third-party software and models
LokalBot includes or can download components and machine-learning models published by other projects. Their notices and licenses continue to apply. You are responsible for checking whether a selected model or external service is suitable for your intended use.
No warranty or guaranteed support
LokalBot is provided under the warranty and liability terms in the GPLv3. Machine-generated transcripts and summaries can be incomplete or wrong and should not be treated as professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical advice. Community support, updates, compatibility, and response times are best-effort and are not guaranteed.
Changes and contact
Material changes will update the effective date on this page. Use the support page for questions, and keep recordings, transcripts, credentials, and other sensitive data out of public issues.
